DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(020321)-ODESSA POLICE INVESTIGATING EARLY MORNING MURDER

On Wednesday, February 3rd at approximately 2:25 am, Odessa Police responded to 500 West 5th Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers observed a deceased male subject, later identified as Justin Payne, 33 years of age.

Officers also made contact with a male subject, identified as Moseley. Investigation revealed that after a disturbance occurred in the area of 8th and Harless, Moseley shot Payne, who was transported to MCH and later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Raymond Philip Moseley, 36 years-of-age was charged and arrested with 1st degree murder and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. Next of kin have been notified and the investigation continues.

 

DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(020321B)-OPD INVESTIGATING MAJOR CRASH AT 3700 GOLDER AVE

Odessa, Texas/February 3, 2021-On Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at approximately 5:05 pm, Odessa Police and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to Golder and Paradise in reference to a major crash.
Investigation revealed that a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Carmen King, 71 years of age, of Odessa, was traveling northbound in the 3700 block of Golder.
A 1997 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Humberto Salazar, 64 years of age, was traveling southbound in the 3700 block of Golder and attempted to turn eastbound onto Paradise.
Salazar failed to yield the right of way and struck the motorcycle. King was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation continues.

Odessa, Texas/February 2, 2021-On January 3, 2021 at approximately 5:46 pm, Odessa Police responded to a robbery at N-N-Out, located at 3226 West 10th Street. Investigation revealed that an unknown male subject pointed a gun at the employee and demanded all of the money from the registers. The suspect then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Anyone who recognizes the suspect shown contact Detective S. Odessa, Texas/February 1, 2021-On October 23, 2020 at approximately 3:10 PM, a theft occurred at Music City Mall. Investigation revealed that two unknown male subjects walked up to a kiosk and stole approximately $520 worth of merchandise.
