On Sunday, December 13th at approximately 8:20 P.M., Odessa Police responded to the 6800 block of Faudree Road in reference to a major crash. Investigation revealed that a Ford F-150, with 4 occupants, was traveling southbound in the southbound lanes of the 6800 block of North Faudree Road. A Mitsubishi Eclipse, being operated by Eliana Leyba, 25 years of age, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the 6800 block of North Faudree Road and struck the Ford F-150 head-on. Three occupants from the Ford F-150 were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Leyba was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. There were no reports of any other injuries. Leyba was charged with Driving While Intoxicated “Class B Misdemeanor”, Reckless Driving “Class B Misdemeanor” and cited for No Proof of Insurance “Class C Misdemeanor”.
