Odessa, Texas/July 30, 2021-A San Antonio man is dead following a major crash that occurred this afternoon in Northwest Odessa.
On July 30, 2021 at approximately 1:41pm, Odessa Police responded to North County Road West and Sunset in reference to a major crash.
Investigation revealed that a Dodge Durango, operated by Jocelyn Flores, 24 years of age, of Odessa, was traveling northbound in the 1700 block of North County Road West.
A motorized scooter, operated by Jack William Ward II, 83 years of age, was attempting to cross eastbound across North County Road West before being struck by the Dodge Durango.
Ward was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased by medical personnel. Next of kin were notified. There were no reports of any other injuries and the investigation continues.
