Midland, Texas/August 8, 2021-On Sunday, August 8, 2021 at approximately 11:49 a.m. the Midland Police Department and Midland Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident in the 4500 block of Andrews Highway. Officers arrived on scene and located a maroon 2006 Chevrolet Corvette and a white 2014 Ford F250.
The driver of the Chevrolet Corvette identified as 68-year-old Clyde Hinton of Odessa, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver and a juvenile passenger of the Ford F-250 were transported to Midland Memorial Hospital by Midland Fire Department EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
The initial investigation conducted by the Midland Police Department Traffic Division found that the driver of the Corvette, had been traveling eastbound in the 4500 block of Andrews Highway when he veered into the westbound lanes and struck the Ford F-250 head-on. The F-250 was traveling in the westbound lanes
Next of kin has been notified. The investigation is on-going.
