This is DRB Media Communications Digital News. Pico Propane and Fuels in Odessa recently held a Summer Party. Danny Barrera has the story.

Pico Propane and Fuels, located at the former Johnson Brothers Oil complex on West 1st Street in Odessa, celebrated its official Grand Opening with a special ceremony for employees, customers, and members of the community. Representatives from the City of Odessa and the Odessa Chamber of Commerce joined company officials in commemorating the expansion and continued growth of the business. The celebration featured a Summer Bash picnic-style lunch, giving attendees an opportunity to tour the facility, connect with staff, and celebrate this new chapter for Pico Propane and Fuels.

“We have grown so much within the last four four years that our growth has asked us to expand us for office personnel. They are needing some offices. I think the boys hard work has shown throughout the couple of years. We thought we might have slowed down with oil and fuel, having its prices going up, fluctuating. We’ve stayed busy and our growth has shown for it. So, we’re celebrating our growth. Not only that, our customers that have helped us grow. So, we’re just letting the community know, you know. Thank you for being a part of us. And we want to celebrate this growth with everybody.”

Pico Propane and Fuels provides propane products and services to the oil and gas industry, commercial businesses, including restaurants and RV parks, as well as residential customers for home heating, outdoor cooking, and other everyday energy needs. To celebrate the company’s growth and expansion, the Hispanic Heritage of Odessa organization and members of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Odessa hosted a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, welcoming the business to the community and recognizing its continued investment in the Permian Basin.

“So, we’ll set two hundred and fifty gallon to five-hundred-gallon tanks for somebody’s house or like a pool heater. They could supply the appliances, stove, hot water heater, dryer, stuff like that. Furnaces. Um, that’s kind of what we do on the residential side. And then we also fill the small like barbecue grills, um, even for like RVs. So that’s a way that we’re able to kind of service an RV park or something like that without actually having to go out and set tanks. They could come in; they could buy the tanks from us. We fill them here, and we can distribute it from there. Um, on the commercial side, we do the same thing. We could set five hundred-to-one-thousand-gallon tank, and it can supply the shop heaters, furnaces, anything that they have inside their office buildings or shops, um, even like powder coating furnaces and stuff like that. So, we could pretty much do anything that’s operated by propane.”

Pico Propane and Fuels, which began operations several years ago in a small office in West Odessa, has grown into a full-service energy provider. Today, the company is becoming a one-stop destination for industrial, commercial, and residential fuel needs, offering a wide range of propane products and fueling services to customers across the Permian Basin.

“I’ve been with the company for nine years now. Um, you know, we started out west in a little office and have continued to grow year after year. Um, you know, they acquired Johnson Brothers as well, which is a fuel company and a oil company that’s been here since, you know, the late forties. So, uh, you know, we’re, we’re continuing to, to find new avenues to, to support, you know, the community and, you know, try to help everybody out residential, commercial oil field. We’re doing a little bit of everything. So.”

The festivities came to an exciting close as several big-ticket door prizes were awarded, culminating with the grand prize of a propane outdoor grill. For DRB Media Communications Digital news, Danny Barrera.
