Odessa Chamber of Commerce 4th Annual SHECAN Event

Odessa, Texas/March 10, 2025-The Odessa Chamber of Commerce recently held their 4th Annual SHECAN event at the Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Every year this event brings in guest speakers from within the community and outside the community to lift up and empower women.

The SHECAN event kicked off with various speaker including the CEO of Texas Mutual and the CEO of Taxi Care as well as women in business. The special event featured discussions with spouses of some of the local political leaders.

Several vendors were at the SHECAN event selling clothes, candles and other items. New this year GRAND CAMPIONS.

Odessa College Holds Pizza With The President

Odessa, Texas/March 6, 2025-Odessa College held Pizza with the President event for OC students and athletes. This special event was to update students on classes and programs available to them and to also thank them for choosing Odessa College.

City of Midland Provides Midlanders with Bottled Water

Midland, Texas/March 4, 2025-The City of Midland has been providing bottle water to Midland residents and will continue distributing water starting at 4pm on Tuesday, March 4th, at the east side of Astound Broadband Stadium at the Scharbauer Sports Complex. Officials with the City of Midland ask for the cooperation with reduction of water usage by the community as repairs continue.

Ector County ISD and Odessa YMCA Host the TAASPYC Symposium Tour

Odessa, Texas/March 3, 2025-Ector County ISD in partnership with the Odessa Family YMCA recently hosted the Texas Association of Administrators and Supervisors of Programs for Young Children Symposium Tour. Around 150 educators from across the State visited Lamar and the Odessa YMCA Early Learning centers.

The Odessa Y Learning Center is a half-day for Pre-K 3 and has resources to provide care for the Pre-K 3 student for the full day to help further the child’s learning.

BCCO Evening With The Stars With Guest Speaker Michael Irvin

Odessa, Texas/March 2, 2025-The Black Cultural Council of Odessa recently held their annual Evening with the Stars Scholarship and Banquet. Featuring guest speaker former Dallas Cowboy, Hall of Fame Michael Irvin. The event started with a private meet & greet event and a special presentation with scholarship recipients.

Odessa, Texas/February 26, 2025-The Ector County Republican Women recently held their February 2025 meeting and luncheon featuring presentations from the medical field, oil and gas and new multi-million-dollar projects being considered in Odessa and Ector County.
