This year’s theme, “Fueling the Future,” sets the stage for the Annual Banquet and Awards Dinner, an evening dedicated to recognizing volunteers and honoring individuals who have made a lasting impact on the economic development of Odessa.

The Odessa Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome special guest Ross Perot, Jr., Chairman of the Board of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Perot will share a powerful message on the importance of Chambers of Commerce and their economic impact in communities across the nation.

Mr. Perot, Jr.’s vision and commitment to economic growth strongly align with the Odessa community’s drive to innovate and expand.

Mr. Ross Perot, Jr. stated that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce strongly supports the oil and gas industry. He added that the Chamber will soon participate in a U.S.–Mexico summit to address critical issues and advocate for the advancement of oil and gas.

During the finale of the Annual Banquet and Awards Dinner, the Odessa Chamber of Commerce introduced the 2025-2026 Board of Directors and announced Jeff Meyers as the new Board Chair

Odess, Texas/September 20, 2025-This is DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS. the second annual Odessa Dia De Los Muertos was officially announced at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Jennifer Smith has the story.  

The Odessa Chamber of Commerce, along with the Odessa and Midland Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Odessa Marriott and Conference Center to announce the 2nd Annual Odessa Día de los Muertos Festival and Parade 2025.

The Odessa Dia De Los Muertos Festival and Parade is set for Saturday, October 18th, bringing an evening full of fun, culture, and entertainment for the whole family.

While the traditional Día de los Muertos holiday is observed from October 31st to November 2nd, Odessa’s celebration 

 will kick off a little earlier, giving the community an opportunity to come together and honor the tradition in a festive way.

Odessa Chamber of Commerce and Cheveron 2025 New Teacher Welcome

Odessa, Texas/July 31, 2025-The Odessa Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Chevron held the 2025 Ector County ISD New Teacher Welcome Fair at the MCM Grande Hotel Fund Dome. New teachers have the opportunity to connect with the community and learn about local resources from local businesses.

Over 250 new teachers from across the state of Texas and from the U.S. as well as international teachers will be serving the students of the ECISD school district.

Several medical institutions and other health representatives as well as nbanks and credit unions participated in the event providing information to new teachers.

Odessa, Texas/July 12, 2025-The 2025 Legislative Wrap-Up provided crucial updates on the recent legislative session and its impact on Odessa, Ector County and the entire State of Texas.

Attendees had the opportunity to gain direct insight from State Senator Kevin Sparks and State Representative Brooks Landgraf on key legislative topics that included: Oilfield Theft legislation, water and water infrastructure and healthcare.

Odessa, Texas/April 27, 2025-The Odessa Chamber of Commerce held the 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year and Business Hall of Fame Luncheon hosted by the Odessa Marriott and Conference Center. Nominees are selected from the Odessa business community who provide economic growth and who have made a social difference in the community.

Alejandro Barrientos, Executive Chef of Curbside Bistro and cooking show celebrity was one of four Business Hall of Fame Honorees. Chef Barrientos has contributed and made a difference in Odessa through the culinary arts.

Nick Fowler the 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year was born in Odessa, Texas in 1951. In 1985, Mr. Fowler developed a process for recovering atactic polypropylene from waste pits. He is the owner of REXtac and Ortex.

Odessa, Texas/April 7, 2025-On Saturday, April 5th, the Odessa Chamber of Commerce hosted the Third Annual National Civics Bee. 6th, 7th as well as 8th grade students from Odessa and Midland and from the Permian Basin participated in the event. 93 students submitted an essay to identify problems facing the community.

The National Civic’s Bee is aimed at encouraging young students to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.
