Black History Month Finale-African Art Exhibit at St James Missionary Baptist Church

Odessa, Texas/March 1, 2023-During the latter part of Black History Month an exhibit of African art was held at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Odessa. The exhibit featured a pencil and ink sketches of African American icons of the Civil Rights movement era, various African Culture collections.

Several residents provided African art, Ebony and Jet magazines representing the African American culture in entertainment and other pieces to the exhibit.

St. James Missionary Baptist Church welcomed members of the church and welcomed those outside the church with open arms to take part in the art exhibit.
