Odessa, Texas/August 27, 2023-On Saturday, August 26th, the Odessa Police Department held a “Testing Day” for people interested in becoming an officer with the OPD. About 20 people registered for the event and a couple of walk-ins came in on the day of the testing.

The Odessa Police Department Testing Day is a new recruiting method that allows the applicant to get a preview of the process of going through the Odessa Police Academy.

If any of the OPD Testing Day applicants did not pass an interview or agility test Odessa Police Department recruiters encourages them to come back and re-apply.
