National Night Out 2025

Odessa, Texas/October 9, 2025-On Tuesday, October 7th, the Odessa Police Department, Odessa Fire Rescue, and the Ector County Sheriff’s Office visited more than a dozen locations across the City of Odessa — including a downtown nonprofit and several places of worship — as part of the annual National Night Out event.

Families attending Iglesia De Amor were excited to celebrate the church’s third year participating in National Night Out. The pastors say the annual event is a meaningful way to bring the neighborhood together for fellowship while helping to build stronger connections between residents, law enforcement, and first responders.

Odessa Downtown Lions Club Parade & City of Odessa’s Firecracker Fandango 2025

Odessa, Texas/July 6, 2025-The Odessa Downtown Lion’s Club kicked off the 4th of July celebration with the annual Independance Day Parade. Residents enjoyed the vintage military vehicles, decorated floats representing American Freedom. The Odessa Police Department, Odessa Fire Rescue and the Ector County Sheriff’s Office showcased armored vehicles and hardware to the delight of mom’s, dad’s and children.

Around 6pm, Friday, July 4th, the City of Odessa hosted the annual Firecracker Fandango. Several thousand people including children came downtown and engage in activities for families; there were concerts featuring local artists and up and coming country recording artists. Visitors enjoyed a wide selection of delicious food items from various food trucks sprinkled throughout the downtown area. The Firecracker Fandango offered a KID’S ZONE where families could take their kids to enjoy games and jumpers.

At the finale of Firecracker Fandango visitors were entertained by a drone show and fireworks.

Odessa Family YMCA Healthy Kids Day 2025

Odessa, Texas/April 28, 2025-On Saturday, April 26th, the Odessa Family YMCA Held their annual Healthy Kids Day. The family fun event was moved indoors due to the forecast of rain. Families and their children enjoyed games, snacks and drinks and other fun activities.

Kids enjoyed all the goodie bags that were given out by various agencies including local law enforcement, kids advocacy groups and non-profit organizations. Kids got to play puppies and enjoyed getting their face painted.

Odessa Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year & Business Hall of Fame 2025

Odessa, Texas/April 27, 2025-The Odessa Chamber of Commerce held the 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year and Business Hall of Fame Luncheon hosted by the Odessa Marriott and Conference Center. Nominees are selected from the Odessa business community who provide economic growth and who have made a social difference in the community.

Alejandro Barrientos, Executive Chef of Curbside Bistro and cooking show celebrity was one of four Business Hall of Fame Honorees. Chef Barrientos has contributed and made a difference in Odessa through the culinary arts.

Nick Fowler the 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year was born in Odessa, Texas in 1951. In 1985, Mr. Fowler developed a process for recovering atactic polypropylene from waste pits. He is the owner of REXtac and Ortex.

Odessa Chamber of Commerce 4th Annual SHECAN Event

Odessa, Texas/March 10, 2025-The Odessa Chamber of Commerce recently held their 4th Annual SHECAN event at the Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Every year this event brings in guest speakers from within the community and outside the community to lift up and empower women.

The SHECAN event kicked off with various speaker including the CEO of Texas Mutual and the CEO of Taxi Care as well as women in business. The special event featured discussions with spouses of some of the local political leaders.

Ellen Noel Art Museum Shrimpfest 2025-Monday, February 24, 2025

Odessa, Texas/February 23, 2025-On Monday, February 24th the Ellen Noel Art Museum will be hosting the annual Shrimpfest Fundraiser event at Barn G at the Ector County Coliseum at 7pm. Guests will enjoy an evening of unlimited Cajun items.
