16th Anniversary Spring Drive to Success Kick-off Celebration

Odessa College held the spring Drive to Success student incentive program kick off. OC students, faculty and staff gathered at the Saulsbury Campus Center for the celebration.

Ector County Republican Women Club 2024 Featuring Sheriff Mike Griffis & Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland

Odessa, Texas/January 29, 2024-The Ector County Republican Womens Club held their first luncheon and meeting of the new 2024 year at the Odessa Country Club. The event guests featured Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis and Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus C. Cleveland. Both law enforcement officials spoke on the border issues affecting residents across Texas.

Terell County Sheriff Thaddeus C. Cleveland Served in the United States Air Force and was Border Patrol Agent in Charge at the Sanderson Border Station along the Southwest Border.

Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland says that a solution to the border problems is an increase in technology, infrastructure and manpower. The small Terrell County Sheriff’s Office also benefited from Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lonestar.

35th Annual Junior Leadership Odessa Program Hosted by the Odessa Chamber of Commerce

Odessa, Texas/January 28, 2024-Junior Leadership Odessa Program held the first day of the retreat hosted by the Odessa Chamber of Commerce. Thirty-eight high school juniors from Odessa began lessons in leadership.

Junior High School students learn to engage in various activities to learn how to work together. Students will also be participating in field trips hosted by local law enforcement, first responders and representatives of the City of Odessa.

Odessa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Open House 2024

Odessa, Texas/January 28, 2024-The Odessa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recently held an Open House at their new location at the Nonprofit Management Center located at 1002 Maple Ave. The Hispanic Chamber mixer included a recap of programs and activities conducted in 2023.

Odessa, Texas/January 26, 2024-Candidates running for Republican Precinct Chair and Ector County Republican Chair recently held STANDING IN THE GAP Fundraiser at the Ector County Republican Party Headquarters. Candidates introduced themselves and gave brief speeches to supporters and guests.

City of Odessa and Odessa Fire Rescue Hold Johann Ramos Retirement Ceremony

Odessa, Texas/January 21, 2024-The City of Odessa and Odessa Fire Rescue held a special retirement ceremony at the Central Fire Station honoring Johann Ramos, who has served OFR for twenty-five years.
