DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(120221)-MIDLAND POLICE INVESTIGATING MURDER
Midland, Texas/December 2, 2021-On November 30, 2021, Midland Police Department detectives responded to a call at Midland Memorial Hospital regarding an individual later identified as Megan Cawley. An investigation was initiated, during which it was discovered that Ms. Cawley gave birth at her residence on November 27, 2021; however, the infant was not present with Ms. Cawley at the hospital.
The MPD Crime Scene Unit responded to the residence and assisted detectives and located the infant’s body in the trunk of a vehicle.
On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, an arrest warrant for Capital Murder was issued for Ms. Cawley and she was taken into custody while she was in the hospital. The investigation is ongoing .
