Odessa, Texas/June 6, 2022-The Odessa Police Department has started their neighborhood watch parties also known as mini block parties to start encouraging residents to join and be part of the Neighborhood Watch program. The first neighborhood watch party was hosted by the Pepper Tree apartments on Oakwood and JBS Parkway.

The Odessa Police Department provided jumpers for the kids, and give-a-ways; The OPD S.W.A.T. Team had their armored vehicle on display as well as S.W.A.T. weapons and hardware.

The Odessa Police Department’s Bomb Squad demonstrated one of several robots to visitors at the mini-block party.

The Odessa Police Department’s Community Relations Division made announcements, throughout the Pepper Tree block party of various safety related apps that are available to the residents of Odessa like: Next Door as well as training programs to help residents in case of crisis.
