Odessa, Texas/December 16, 2024-The Salinas Family recently celebrated the 100th birthday of Luisa Salinas the families’ matriarch. Sons, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren celebrated her special day.

Early in life, Luisa Salinas and her late husband worked as migrant farm workers working from South Texas, then migrating to California to the State of Idaho continuing working as migrant farm workers.

Despite Luisa Salinas’ age and frailty, the Salinas Family gathered around herand held a special birthday Mass and reception in her honor.

Odessa, Texas/December 15, 2024-The Odessa Family YMCA held its annual Breakfast with the Grinch fundraising event at the MCM Elegante Hotel and Conference Center. Families enjoyed a wide selection of breakfast menu items and other goodies.

The funds raised through the Odessa Family YMCA Breakfast with the Grinch goes towards the Pre-K 3 program.

Odessa, Texas/December 14, 2024-On Wednesday, December 11th, United Supermarkets in Midland and Odessa hosted Westling great, actor and businessman HULK HOGAN. Fans stood in line for several hours at the United Supermarkets located on East 8th street.

The line wrapped around the 8th street supermarket down and close to 7th street. Fans were required to purchase HULK HOGAN’s REAL AMERICAN BEER and CAP.

Meals on Wheels of Odessa Partners with H-E-B to Help Spread Holiday Cheer!

Odessa, Texas/December 4, 2024-Meals on Wheels of Odessa along with HEB are celebrating the FEAST OF SHARING by including homebound clients that Meals on Wheels serve. H-E-B staff helped deliver meals to over 800 clients throughout Odessa and Ector County.

H-E-B is celebrating its 22nd Annual Feast of Sharing by partnering with Meals on Wheels of Odessa to deliver a holiday meal to those that cannot attend the Feast of Sharing Christmas event on Friday, December 6th.

Ector County Commissioners Vote to Apply for a Texas Community Block Grant on Behalf of ECUD

Odessa, Texas/December 3, 2024-The Ector County Commissioners Court held a special meeting on Tuesday, December 3RD to take action on a resolution to allow the commissioners court to submit an application for a Texas Community Block Grant for the sum of $750, 000 on behalf of ECUD.

Residents of West Odessa in West Ector County have had issues with past administrations of the Ector County Utility District in providing water service to them. New board members are excited that the Commissioners Court voted to apply for the block grant.
