DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(031122)-WEST TEXAS WARBIRDS FOOTBALL 2022 SEASON

Odessa, Texas/March 11, 2022-The West Texas WARBBIRDS FOOTBALL an indoor football organization in the City of Odessa will start it’s 2022 season this April and runs through the end of July. Season tickets are now available, and all home games are played at the Ector County Coliseum.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and other delays the first game of the newly formed WARBIRDS football team was held in June of 2021 in Amarillo.

The WARBIRDS FOOTBALL organization was founded around 2018-2019. The organization is creating marketing models and outreach programs to bring awareness of the indoor football league to the residents of Odessa and surrounding communities of the Permian Basin. 

The West Texas WARBIRDS FOOTBALL organization recruits from all over the U.S. Some players on the roster come from California, Tennessee, Ohio, and  Florida.

DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(031022)-VFW POST 4372 PRESENTS CHECK TO THE LUIS TIJERINA FOUNDATION

Odessa, Texas/March 10, 2022-VFW Post 4372 in Odessa, Texas presented a check to the Luis Tijerina Foundation. This foundation helps individuals and veterans in the community who are addicted to drugs and alcohol.

The check presented was in the amount of $1 thousand 130 dollars in addition to other funds raised by the Luis Tijerina Foundation.

The Luis Tijerina Foundation was created in memory of Luis Tijerina’s son, who tragically passed away as a result of drug and alcohol related accident.

Odessa, Texas/March 8, 2022-On Tuesday, March 8th , the Odessa Chamber of Commerce hosted the SHE CAN-WOMEN’S CONFERENCE in memory of Adela Vasquez, ECISD educator and counselor. The women’s conference is scheduled to coincide with International Women’s Day.

The event featured several guest speakers that spoke on topics such as career, family and faith. A panel discussion was held with Lisa Bownds, CEO, Founder of Reflection Ministries and Karin Carlson, Education Director at Reflection Ministries on humantrafficking

DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(030222)-TEXAS PRIMARY ELECTIONS ECTOR COUNTY PRECINCT 4

Odessa, Texas/March 2, 2022-The Ector County Precinct 4 races yielded a new Justice of the Peace and a new Democratic candidate for Ector County Commissioner, Precinct 4 ending the tenure of Armando Rodriguez. 

Savannah Castellon Morales received 257 votes in early voting and 204 votes in the March 1st Texas Primary Elections, bringing her total to 461 votes, Morales received 60.90% of the vote. Armando Rodriguez, the current Ector County Commissioner, Precinct 4 received 176 votes in early voting, 120 votes in the March 1st Primary Elections, bringing his total to 296 votes, receiving only 39.10% of votes. 

Democrat, Savannah Castellon Morales, one Republican and Albert Mata, an independent candidate will be running for Ector County Commissioner, Precinct 4 in November of this year.

The Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4 has a new judge. Elizabeth Baeza, an Ector County Sheriff’s Deputy working in the Civil Division, eliminated Jesse M. Porras and Alford Littleton. 

Jesse M. Porras received 84 votes in early voting, 60 votes in the March 1st Texas Primary, acquiring a total of 144 votes, receiving only 18.37% of the vote. 

Elizabeth Baeza received 234 votes in early voting, and 189 voting in March 1st Primary elections, a total of 423 votes, receiving 53.95% of total votes. 

Alford Littleton, received 125 votes in early voting, 92 votes in the March 1st Texas Primary, acquiring a total of 217 votes, 27.68% of the vote.

Cindy Weir-Nutter will be in a run-off with Lori Ruiz-Crutcher. Cindy Weir-Nutter received 45.02% of the vote and Lori Ruiz-Crutcher received 32.26% of the vote. Dennis Jones only received 22.72% of the vote.

Brooks Landgraf was re-elected to Texas State Representative, District 81 defeating Casey Gray. This State Representative race targeted Landgraf with allegations of marital infidelity and corruption that were not officially proven.

Representative Brooks Landgraf, received 4, 110 votes in early voting and 3, 766 votes in the March 1st Texas Primary, receiving a total of 7,876 votes, acquiring 78.78% of votes. 

Casey Gray received 1,032 votes during early voting, 1,090 votes in the Texas Primary. Casy Gray received a total of 2, 122 votes, 21.22% of the total votes.

Odessa, Texas/March 1, 2022-On Tuesday, March 1st the IHOP Restaurants in Odessa and Midland invite the public to enjoy a free short stack of pancakes on National Pancake Day. This annual family-friendly event raises needed funds for Children’s Miracle Network at Medical Center Health System.

National Pancake Day serves the short stack pancakes between 7am and 4pm. IHOP guest are invited to make a voluntary donation benefitting the NICU and Pediatric Units at Medical Center Health System to purchase life-saving equipment.
