BUYERS 2 ARENA Purchase the Pan American Ballroom

 

Odessa, Texas/March 30, 2024-The iconic Pan American Ballroom constructed in the mid-to late 60’s has been sold to a Mexico based sports/entertainment company with offices in Dallas. The now BUYER’S TO ARENA Sports Event Center will feature a variety of contact sports competitions as well as cultural events slated for late Spring and Summer.

United Way and AT&T Deliver 50 Laptops to Students

Odessa, Texas/March 30, 2024-The United Way of Odessa recently hosted AT&T, Texas Senator Kevin Sparks and community partner agencies celebrating the distribution of refurbished laptops to students that do not have the resources to the much-needed laptops.

The State Legislature has budgeted funding for broadband and to allow nonprofit agencies to partner with companies like AT&T to provide technology and broadband services to students and the elderly.

AT&T provided the 50 refurbished laptops to several nonprofit agencies including the Boys and Girls Club, Catholic Charity Services as well as Odessa College.

City of Odessa Holds Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Sherwood Park

Odessa, Texas/March 30, 2024-The City of Odessa hosted the Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday morning at Sherwood Park. Families visited vendors, food trucks and local Hispanic radio stations, getting candy and other goodies, while enjoying the spring weather.

Kids enjoyed coloring inside the big tent and took pictures with several mascots; Mom’s and Dad’s waited in line to take a picture with the Easter Bunny.

The City of Odessa passed an ordinance a while back, enforcing Sherwood Park as an open space and available to everyone. Parents and kids were flying kites and cooking out.

Pink The Basin Gives Large Donation for Uninsured Cancer Patients

 

Odessa, Texas/March 27, 2024-Pink the Basin held a check presentation at Medical Center Hospital and awarded MCH $150 Thousand dollars to assist women and men who do not have insurance, who are underinsured or have a high copy or a high deductible that need a mammogram, Diagonostic mammogram or biopsy.

Pink the Basin held their annual luncheon last October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The organization raised approximately $665 Thousand dollars this year and gave out several thousands of dollars to area hospitals.

Odessa, Texas/March 24, 2024-The Odessa Family YMCA presents “Giggle & Give” Comedy Fundraiser featuring comedian Lucas Bohn at the Ector Theatre on Thursday, April 4th.
