Education Foundation of Odessa Partners with Chevron and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Odessa, Texas/December 15, 2023-The Education Foundation of Odessa announced its partnership with Chevron and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to bring the gift of reading to children in Ector County.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library will provide one engaging, high-quality book each month to Ector County children from age 0 to 5 years of age at no cost to families.

Feast of Sharing 21st Annual H-E-B Event at the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa

Odessa, Texas/December 12. 2023-H-E-B in Odessa Recently held their 21st Annual Feast of Sharing event. Residents from Odessa and Ector County and surrounding communities came out and enjoyed BAR-B-QUE with potato salad and pinto beans and apple pie.

Local business representatives, city of Odessa and County officials and guests enjoyed a wide variety of finger foods and drinks.

H-E-B Partners and Community Volunteers Distribute More Than 700 Meals/Annual Feast of Sharing

Odessa, Texas/December 7, 2023-H-E-B in partnership with Meals on Wheels of Odessa celebrated the holiday season by distributing more than 700 special holiday meals to the elderly, homebound and disabled clients of Odessa and Ector County as part of the annual Feast of Sharing celebration.

Murder and Mayhem in West Texas Book Signing Event at the University of Texas Permian Basin

Odessa, Texas/December 6, 2023-John Fisher, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at the University of Texas Permian Basin along with his research students collaborated on a writing project that turned into a book called MURDER AND MAYEM IN WEST TEXAS.

The Criminal Justice students reached out to local and area Law Enforcement Agencies and looked at case records and reports and conducted interviews with some of the Police Officers that were involved in investigating these crimes.

Una Mano Amigo Para Todos Hosts Annual Cultural Unity Event and Christmas Season Kickoff

On Sunday, December 3rd, Una Mano Amiga Para Todos, hosted an event to unify the Hispanic community of Odessa. Nonprofit organizations at the event answered question and offered information of the services they provide to low-income families and to newcomers form other Latin American Countries.
