2nd Annual Ector County ISD Food Nutrition Food Show

Odessa, Texas/November 5, 2023-Ector County ISD held its 2nd Annual ECISD School Nutrition Food Show at the Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. School nutrition vendors offered food samples that are served in school cafeterias.

Vendors presented various food items like: Pizza, Sweet and sour pork and rice, fruits and vegetables and other snacks. Parents and children voted on the vendor they would like to have at ECISD schools.

MCH Center for Women & Infants/Pumpkin and Pitocin Labor & Delivery Career Fair

Medical Center Health System recently held the Labor & Delivery Career Fair at the MCH Center for Women & Infants. The Pumpkins & Pitocin Labor and Delivery career fair is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill many open positions in the L&D Department.

H E B Kicks Off Feast of Sharing Celebration with Meal Deliveries to Midland Seniors

Midland, Texas/November 2, 2023-H-E-B, in partnership with Senior Life Midland kicks off the annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing celebrations with meal deliveries to Midland’s Seniors. 

H-E-B Partners and community volunteers will distribute more than 500 meals to home-bound seniors.

Associates with H-E-B and volunteers loaded up their vehicles with the nutritious meals to be passed out to Midland homebound seniors.

Una Mano Amiga December Health Fair Event at Ramirez Park in the Southside of Odessa

Odessa, Texas/November 1, 2023-Una Mano Amiga, a Hispanic non-profit organization located at Dury Lane and South Crane in south Odessa announced during a special event planning luncheon, an event to help new residents to Odessa from various Latin American Countries including Cuba and Puerto Rico.

Representatives from Medical Center Health System, St. Joseph Home Healthcare, several insurance companies operated by Hispanic Women attended the first of several meetings to prepare this event.

City of Odessa and Project One-Eleven Held Fentanyl Awareness for Parents

Odessa, Texas/October 31, 2023-The City of Odessa and Project 1:11 hosted a Fentanyl Awareness for parents at Woodson Park in South Odessa. Parents brought their children in costumes to the Halloween themed event.

Odessa Fire Rescue and Odessa Police Department brought emergency vehicles and the SWAT team assault vehicles and hardware. Information was handed out to parents on the dangers of Fentanyl.

Odessa Fire Rescue and Odessa Police Department Host Annual Trunk or Treat Event for Children

Odessa, Texas/October 31, 2023-Odessa Fire Rescue and the Odessa Police Department held their annual Trunk or Treat event at the Central Fire Station. Mom and Dad’s brought their little ones to get candy from fire fighters and from OPD Officers.
