This year’s theme, “Fueling the Future,” sets the stage for the Annual Banquet and Awards Dinner, an evening dedicated to recognizing volunteers and honoring individuals who have made a lasting impact on the economic development of Odessa.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the 2nd Annual Odessa Dia De Los Muertos 2025

Odess, Texas/September 20, 2025-This is DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS. the second annual Odessa Dia De Los Muertos was officially announced at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Jennifer Smith has the story.  

The Odessa Chamber of Commerce, along with the Odessa and Midland Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Odessa Marriott and Conference Center to announce the 2nd Annual Odessa Día de los Muertos Festival and Parade 2025.

The Odessa Dia De Los Muertos Festival and Parade is set for Saturday, October 18th, bringing an evening full of fun, culture, and entertainment for the whole family.

While the traditional Día de los Muertos holiday is observed from October 31st to November 2nd, Odessa’s celebration

Hispanic Heritage of Odessa Celebrates 16th of September with Music and Pan Dulce at City Hall in Odessa

Odessa, Texas/September 16, 2025- This is DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS. Hispanic Heritage of Odessa held a special 16th of September event at City Hall in Odessa. Danny Barrera has the story. 

In celebration of the 16th of September and Hispanic Heritage Month, LULAC and Hispanic Heritage of Odessa provided entertainment for the City of Odessa employees and staff along with guest. The event featured a performance by Juana Jaquez and Mariachi Aguila singing well-known popular and traditional Mexican songs.

Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration and recognition of the rich Mexican Culture and traditions. Visitors to the Odessa City Hall enjoyed a wide selection of Mexican sweet breads and juices.

2nd Annual First Responder Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Ector County Republican Party

Odessa, Texas/September 14, 2025-The Ector County Republican Party held the 2nd Annual First Responder Breakfast at the ECRP Headquarters. Local Republican representatives volunteered their time to cook, serve and bus tables. Odessa Fire Rescue, the Ector County Sheriff’s Office and the Odessa Police Department along with other law enforcement agencies enjoyed pancakes and bacon, fruit and pan dulce provided by MASA BAKERY.

Annual 911 and First Responder Remembrance Ceremony at Memorial Garden Park

Odessa, Texas/September 11, 2025-A special ceremony was held at Memorial Garden Park to honor and remember the first responders and victims who lost their lives during the September 11, 2001, attacks on the Twin Towers.”

Chief of Police Michael Gerke, Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis, and Odessa Fire Chief Jason Cotton took part in the solemn ceremony, paying tribute to the first responders who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Running in the Dark 5K Run Benefiting the Recording Library of West Texas

Odessa, Texas/September 8, 2025- This is DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS, I’m David Gomez. A non-profit organization is having a 5K Run this Saturday, September 13th at Midland College. Danny Barrera has the story.  

The Recording Library of West Texas will be hosting a 5K Run at Midland College on Saturday, September 13th beginning at 6pm. All proceeds benefit the various programs that the Recording Library of West Texas offers.

This year marks the First Annual Running in the Dark, an event that evolved from the former ‘Dining in the Dark,’ a three-course meal with wine pairings. The run takes place this Saturday, aligning with the 16th of September Celebration.
