Odessa, Texas/October 22, 2022-Adinvita School of Design Thinking held their Halloween Bingo Bash and is the second of two fall fundraising events. The funds raised will go towards a building exclusively for the private school.

Officials with the private school need a building for students to have a playground and a cafeteria and other amenities to be able to expand to other grade levels.

The Adinvita Halloween Bingo Bash featured door prizes throughout the evening, and the Best Halloween Costume dance competition. “Dueling Pianos” is the next fundraising event and is scheduled for February 2023.

Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary-Holds Fundraising Event For Permian Basin Honor Flight

Odessa, Texas/September 18, 2022-The Fraternal Order of Eagles, located at 1344 E. 7th Street in Odessa, held a fundraising event benefiting the Permian Basin Honor Flight. Several events were held throughout the day and evening on Saturday, September 17th.

The Permian Basin Honor Flight is part of the National Honor Flight Network serving veterans who served in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War. The mission of Honor Flight is to celebrate America’s veterans by inviting them to share in a day of honor at the nation’s memorials.

Odessa, Texas/August 18, 2022-On Thursday, August 18th the Odessa Police Department, the Ector County Sheriff’s Office, first responders and the Odessa community came out to BARN A at the Ector County Coliseum to support BURGERS FOR MIKE Fundraiser benefitting Corporal Mike Troglin in his fight against cancer.

Odessa, Texas/July 16, 2022-The Black Chamber of Commerce Permian Basin held the 13th Annual ROBERT E. WILLIAMS SR. MEMORIAL TORNAMENT 2022 hosted by Sunset Golf and Country Club. Golfers from across the Permian Basin area including representatives from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin participated in the scholarship fundraising event.

In 2021 The ROBERT E. WILLIAMS SR. MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT raised close to $20 thousand dollars for scholarships. Graduating 2023 High School Seniors can apply for The Black Chamber of Commerce Permian Basin scholarship during the 2022-2023 school year.

Odessa, Texas/April 9, 2022-Heather and Patrick Chadwick are reaching out to the Odessa community and inviting residents to a fundraising event on Sunday, April 10th, from 4pm to 7pm. The fundraiser called CRAWFISH FOR EMMA will help raise funds their 3-year-old daughter who has a rare form of epilepsy.

Patrick Chadwick is a Sergeant with the Odessa Police Department, and is assigned to a rotating shift. While out on patrol he is waiting for the one call from his family or Emma’s nurse that Emma is having a problem and needs help.

KCNT1-related epilepsy is an ultra-rare, infant-onset seizure disorder caused by mutations in the KCNT1 gene. Some cases lead to severe seizures, and is unresponsive to medications.
