Odessa, Texas/August 24, 2025-Friends and supporters of Ector County Judge Dustin Fawcett recently held an invitation-only pre-re-election campaign fundraising event. Guests, including representatives from the City of Odessa and Ector County, enjoyed live music, hamburgers, and non-alcoholic drinks provided by The Block Meat Company.

Odessa, Texas/August 2, 2025-Music City Mall held a special ceremony revealing a special monument called Dedication to Freedom. Maggie Jones has the story.
Mall visitors gathered at the Dillards entrance to view the unveiling a life-sized replica of the Battle of Iwo Jima statue. The momument took over a year to complete and estimated cost of several thousands of dollars. The purpose of the replica is to remind the younger generations of the sacrafice the men and women of the armed forces paid in World War 2 to keep freedom in the United States.

Sacred and special music was performed in memorium of the Battle of Iwo Jima monument ceremony.
Visitors to Music City Mall are encouraged to stop by and see a replica of thefamous and historic Battle of Iwo Jima monument and take time to read the special plaque.

Odessa, Texas/July 13, 2025-Residents of Odessa, Odessa Police Department, Ector County, and Pastors came to Memorial Gardens Park on Friday Evening to join other families in a special remembrance ceremony honoring the victims of the Texas Hill Country Flash Flood, also taking the lives of OPD Officer Bailey Martin, Jayda Floyd an Ector County Juvenile Probation Officer and girlfriend to Officer Martin.

The flash flood impacted various communities in the Texas Hill Country along the Guadalupe River and affected the lives of residents in Odessa, Midland, Andrews and other Permian Basin Families.

Annabelle Coultress was preparing to join friends at Camp Mystic this week. She joined the 70 plus people at Memorial Gardens Park to tie green and pink ribbons around trees located throughout the duck pond.
