11th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Hosted by the American Legion Post 430

Odessa, Texas/November 28, 2024-Residents of the City of Odessa celebrated the 11th Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner at the American Legion located on East 8th Street. Families gathered at the venue to enjoy turkey, ham and all the fixins’. Craig Stoker, Odessa City Councilman AT-LARGE, Eddie Mitchell, Odessa City Councilman, District 1 and Odessa Mayor Cal Hendrick helped serve this free event.

Volunteers and students from the ROTC Program at Permian High School helped prepare, serve and bus tables for the packed event estimated at a little over 800 people.

36th Annual Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry Thanksgiving Community Lunch-DRB Media Communications Digital News

Midland, Texas/November 24, 2022-The Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry along with the Midland County Sheriff’s Office and volunteers celebrated the soup kitchen’s 36th Annual Community Thanksgiving Lunch. This year, an increase of residents and families made it out to the annual Thanksgiving lunch.

Midland County Sheriff, David Criner, Officers and Staff of the Midland County Sheriff’s Office held the NO SHAVE NOVEMBER fundraising event and raised over $1300 dollars benefiting the Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry.
