Midland County Sheriff’s Office Host 2nd Annual Christmas at the Horseshoe 2022

Midland, Texas/December 18, 2022-The Midland County Sheriff’s Office held the 2nd Annual Christmas at the Horse Shoe Event. Around 4 thousand people from the Midland community and surrounding areas came out to see Santa and Mrs. Claus and the Grinch. Nonprofit organizations provided goodie bags for the families and kids.

The Midland District Attorney provided the chocolate and Culligan provided the water to make hot coco. The Christmas event featured a petting zoo and a Christmas concert for the entire family.

Volunteers that are going through the Midland Drug Court program helped the Midland County Sheriff’s Office with the 2nd Annual Christmas at the Horse shoe event.

MCSO-Big Sky Drive-In Halloween Movie Bash/POP-DRB Media Communications Digital News

Midland, Texas/October 31, 2022-The Midland County Sheriff’s Office held its 3rd Annual Free Big Sky Halloween Drive-In Movie Bash. Visitors received a “goodiebag” with candy, colors and coloring books for kids and other information.

Visitors had an opportunity to visit the concessions area for a wide variety of eats and treats. Several non-profit organizations were at the movie bash giving out teddy bears, and other important information on community services.

DPS Arrests Eight in Joint Human Trafficking Operations-DRB Media Communications Digital News

Midland, Texas/October 2022-On October 18th, 2022, the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division and the Midland County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Human Trafficking and Online Solicitation Operation in Midland, supported by DPS Highway Patrol and Counter Terrorism Divisions. 

As a result of this operation, eight suspects were arrested and are now facing the charge of Solicitation of Prostitution which is State Jail Felony.

Ronnie Dixon, 38, of Midland, Texas 

Trey Luckey, 51, of Midland, Texas 

Austin Barnes, 38, of Odessa, Texas 

Christopher Holmes, 27, of Lufkin, Texas 

Albert Solis, 37, of Sweetwater, Texas 

Wilbert Ruiz, 40, of Burleson, Texas 

Also arrested was Gene Powell, Jr. Of Gardendale, Texas who was the current Public Information Office for TxDot Odessa area. 

The goal of the Human Trafficking Operation was to target individuals soliciting prostitutes, as well as to identify and apprehend individuals suspected to be involved in human trafficking by using various websites to solicit sexual acts.

The Midland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing person.

Faith Ann Morgan, 16, was last seen on May 22, 2022, wearing a black spaghetti strap dress with a black and green swimsuit. Faith has green eyes, brown hair, and weighs approximately 150 lbs. to 160lbs., and is approximately 4’9″ to 5’2″ tall.

DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(061622R)-LAWRENCE HOLLEY ARRESTED FOR FALSE REPORT

Midland, Texas/June 16, 2022- Around 9:58 AM, a call was received reporting a kidnapping and shots fired. Deputies from the Midland County Sheriff’s Office, and other local agencies responded to the scene near CR320 and Rankin Highway 349 near the Midland-Upton County Line. The investigation revealed that there was no kidnapping, shots fired, nor a threat to the public. The original caller, identified as Lawrence Holley, 72 years-of-age, was taken into custody by Midland County Sheriff’s Office Deputies. 

The investigation continues
