DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(063022)-UTPB ENGINEERING UNITE/XTO ENERGY SUMMER CAMP

Midland, Texas/June 30, 2022-UTPB’s College of Engineering is currently hosting the annual Engineering Camps. The camp is a way to get young students interested in engineering at an early age.

Engineering camp participants will take part in several hands-on experiments, throughout the week.

There are two engineering summer camps in progress, the UNITE engineering summer camp funded by the U.S. ARMY and the XTO summer camp funded by XTO ENERGY. The purpose of the both summer camps is to expose middle and high school students to the many facets of engineering.

Campers will receive a certificate of completion after fulfilling the require program, as well as creating a secondary pipeline called BRIDGE TO ENGINEERING.

DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(020722A)-2022 ROBOTICS SOUTH LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP AT UTPB

Odessa, Texas/February 7, 2022-On Saturday, February 5th, the University of Texas of the Permian Basin college of Engineering hosted the 2022 Robotics South League Championship. 38 teams and over 200 attendees that included students, instructor, parents watched the all-day competition.

Schools from ECISD, MISD, and other school districts including home schools participated in the robotic championship.
