Midland, Texas/March 14, 2022-Commercial vehicles play a vital role in the oil and gas industry in the Permian Basin. Many commercial drivers operate with the wrong class of drivers license, and other violations. These issues create challenges to the Texas Department of Public Safety in policing commercial vehicles.

Commercial vehicles that haul Sand Boxes and oversized loads are causing concern with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Texas DPS wants all drivers to know that distracted driving is a factor in many fatal crashes on the highway.

DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(013022A)-FATAL CRASH INVOLVING A LOVING COUNTY DEPUTY

Midland, Texas/January 30, 2022-A fatal crash occurred on State Highway 302, 1 mile west of Mentone involving a Loving County Deputy. 

Preliminary information revealed that a Loving County female Deputy Lorin M. Readmond, 41 years-of-age was dispatched to assist another Deputy on a traffic stop. Deputy Readmond was eastbound on SH 302 with her emergency lights and siren activated.  

Her patrol vehicle, a 2018 Ford F-150 was involved in a collision with a 2017 International truck tractor with trailer, also traveling eastbound. 

Deputy Lorin M. Redmond was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Amber King. 

The driver of the 2017 Internation truck trailer, Daniel Egidio Moran, a 62-year old male of San Antonio, Texas and Edgardo Cervantes a 52 year- old male of El Paso, Texas, were not injured. 

The crash is being investigated by the Texas Highway Patrol’s West Texas Region District Crash Team.

DRB MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL NEWS(011022)-TXDPS INVESTATING FATAL CRASH 5 MILES EAST OF MIDLAND

Midland, Texas/January 10, 2022-On Saturday, January 8th, 2022 at approximately 5:01p.m. a fatal crash occurred at South County Road 1140, 5 miles east of Midland involving a 2017 Toyota Corolla. 

The TxDPS Highway Patrol Preliminary information revealed that the Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on CR 1140.  The driver identified as Louise Renee Pyle a 54 years-of-age female of Midland failed to stop at a stop sign, and the vehicle crossed over CR 120 and then struck a fence. 

Pyle was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice Court Investigator Carlos Castanos
