Odessa, Texas/January 30, 2023-On January 22, 2023 at approximately 8:40pm, an aggravated assault occurred at the DK, located at 4601 Oakwood. The male subject (wearing a blue shirt, gray hoodie, and white hat) shown is considered to be a person of interest. He was also occupying a blue Dodge 4-door truck. Odessa, Texas/December 29, 2022-Ector County ISD hosted the 5th Annual Chief’s 3 on 3 Youth Basketball Tournament at the Permian High School Field House. Students from the Permian Basin participated in this fun event with officers from the Odessa Police Department.

Odessa, Texas/December 21, 2022-The Chief Executive Officer of Ajuuas Mexican Restaurant along with officials with Odessa Fire Rescue provide a Christmas lunch for Odessa Firefighter and Odessa Police Department.

Odessa is unique, in that, businesses and residents support Odessa Fire Rescue, Public Communications and the Odessa Police Department, Ector County Sheriff’s Office, and other first responders.

Approximately 150 Odessa Firefighters enjoyed red or green cheese enchiladas with rice and beans and cookies. Officers with the Odessa Police Department were able to stop by the Odessa Central Fire Station and pick up “to go” boxes.

Odessa, Texas/November 6, 2022-Odessa Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing child. Zechariah Landa, 13 years of age, was last seen on November 4, 2022 at approximately 6pm at Music City Mall. Landa was last seen wearing a white shirt and khaki uniform from the Alternative Center. Landa is possibly with a Hispanic male who is described as being approximately 40-50 years of age, approximately 6’2” tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds, and has short hair and a long beard, wearing a button-down shirt, black jeans, and cowboy boots. Anyone with information in reference to the whereabouts of Landa contact the Odessa Police Department at 432-333-3641 or Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-TIPS.

Odessa, Texas/November 4, 2022-On November 04, 2022, the Odessa Police Department and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to a Major Crash at 1025 W Monahans. Officers found a man suffering from severe injuries. During the investigation, officers determined that this was not a traffic crash and is being investigated as an intentional criminal act. The officers determined that a known suspect intentionally used a vehicle to commit an assault against the injured person and multiple people inside of the residence. The apartment was severely damaged during this incident. Following this assault, the suspect fled the scene and abandoned the vehicle.
Officers and Detectives are currently searching for the suspect and the investigation is still very active. The Odessa Police Department has obtained several felony warrants for William Earl Crayton Jr.,31 years of age. If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Crayton, please contact the Odessa Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
