Odessa, Texas/January 24, 2022-The Odessa Chamber of Commerce recently hosted the Young Professionals of Odessa Kickoff Mixer at the Ellen Noel Art Museum. The goal of the networking event is to encourge membership to the Young Professionals of Odessa for those professionals 21 to 40 years of age.

Professionals, community leaders, City and County representatives, as well as members of the Black Chamber of Commerce of the Permian Basin attended this yearly event.

Several members of the Young Professionals of Odessa received awards for their contributions to the ogranization and to community.

Midland, Texas/January 2, 2022-Midland Memorial Hospital  congratulates the Luna family of Midland on the birth of their new baby boy, the first child born in Midland in 2022. Mario Alexander Luna was born at 12:17 AM to Carmen and Mario Luna, weighing 9 lbs 11 oz and 21 inches long. 

The family was presented with a gift basket full of items for the new baby and mom. 

Gift basket items include: 

  • Grooming kit, wash clothes, baby soap, and socks from Hope Chest, a program sponsored by Midland Health and Midland Memorial Foundation
  • Lindon & London laundry wash from Brew Street
  • Blanket set from Nifty Knitters of Midland
  • Mama hat, coffee mug, and car coasters from The Pink Pug
  • Baby’s First Ornament and gift card from Miss Cayce’s
  • Anthusgift card from Anthus 

Midland Memorial Hospital would like to thank all of these businesses and individuals for their donations to  first baby of 2022.

Odessa, Texas/January 1, 2022 – Medical Center Hospital is celebrating its first delivery of 2022. Baby Ryder Vela was born at 1.27 a.m. and weighed in at 6 pounds, 8 ounces. Her proud parents are Stephanie Vela and Henry Vela.
Lori’s Gifts at the hospital gifted the family a diaper bag, while the hospital gifted them several newborn items and a Target Gift Card.

Congratulate the Vela family on their newest addition.
