Ajuua’s Mexican Restaurant Brings a Christmas Lunch to Odessa Fire Rescue, Odessa Police Department

Odessa, Texas/December 21, 2022-The Chief Executive Officer of Ajuuas Mexican Restaurant along with officials with Odessa Fire Rescue provide a Christmas lunch for Odessa Firefighter and Odessa Police Department.

Odessa is unique, in that, businesses and residents support Odessa Fire Rescue, Public Communications and the Odessa Police Department, Ector County Sheriff’s Office, and other first responders.

Approximately 150 Odessa Firefighters enjoyed red or green cheese enchiladas with rice and beans and cookies. Officers with the Odessa Police Department were able to stop by the Odessa Central Fire Station and pick up “to go” boxes.

Ector County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Murder of 20 Year Old

Odessa, Texas/Ector County/December 20, 2022-On December 19th at approximately 5:47PM Ector County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the13000 block of Firewater Trail in reference to a gunshot victim. A 20-year-old male later identified as Jeramiah Nathaniel Padilla was transported to Medical Center Hospital with gunshot wounds and later died from his injuries.  

At approximately the same time Odessa Police Department responded to Odessa Regional Medical Center ER reference a 16-year-old gunshot victim.

Odessa Chamber of Commerce Hosts Special Event for ECISD Teachers and Employees

Odessa, Texas/December 20, 2022-The Odessa Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a luncheon for Ector County ISD Teachers and staff at Barn B at the Ector County Coliseum. The Chamber provided this special event to thank teachers for educating the children of Odessa and Ector County.

Woodson Boys & Girls Club Hold Special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Inchy Bookworm Vending Machine

Odessa, Texas/December 19, 2022-The Woodson Boys and Girls Club hosted the Black Chamber of Commerce of the Permian Basin for a special ribbon cutting ceremony-a dedication and blessing of the Inchy Bookworm Vending Machine, that was recently acquired by the Woodson Boys and Girls Club.

The Greater Odessa Rotary Club donated $1 thousand dollars to Children’s Literacy for the purchase of books for the Inchy Bookworm Vending Machine.

The goal for the Woodson Boys and Girls Club is to get kids to use the Inchy Bookworm Vending Machine and break away from video games, cell phones and other devices.

Midland County Sheriff’s Office Host 2nd Annual Christmas at the Horseshoe 2022

Midland, Texas/December 18, 2022-The Midland County Sheriff’s Office held the 2nd Annual Christmas at the Horse Shoe Event. Around 4 thousand people from the Midland community and surrounding areas came out to see Santa and Mrs. Claus and the Grinch. Nonprofit organizations provided goodie bags for the families and kids.

The Midland District Attorney provided the chocolate and Culligan provided the water to make hot coco. The Christmas event featured a petting zoo and a Christmas concert for the entire family.
